If Norway makes you think of steep fjords, rushing waterfalls and towering mountains, Ormhilleren might come as a surprise. Hidden in northern Øygarden, this small sandy beach has shallow water, smooth rocks and a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. On sunny days, it almost feels like a little piece of Southern Europe – just with a distinctly Norwegian backdrop.
When visiting Bergen, Bryggen, the Fish Market and the Fløibanen probably come to mind first. But right in the heart of the city is an attraction that completely surprised us as a family: the Troll Museum Bergen. Together with our children, we spent a morning discovering its magical world of trolls, legends and Norwegian folklore.
