A Cosy Stay Surrounded by Nature
The cabin sleeps up to 6 guests and combines simple Norwegian cabin life with a few modern comforts. Its three bedrooms each provide sleeping space for two guests, while the combined living and kitchen area offers plenty of room for cooking, dining and relaxing together in the evenings.
The property is completely off-grid, with solar panels supplying a 220V power system for lighting and small electrical devices. The bathroom has a composting toilet, while an electric outdoor shower is available on the terrace.
Fresh groundwater can be collected free of charge from a shared water station in the cabin area.
Nature Right on Your Doorstep
Here, the outdoor experience really does begin the moment you step outside. Hiking trails lead through the surrounding forests and countryside, including a particularly scenic route to Befjell, the highest mountain in the local area. From the cabin, the hike is approximately 4 kilometres each way.
You don't have to travel far for a swim either. There is a small, peaceful swimming spot at the top of the cabin area, while those who prefer a sandy beach can reach Vågdalsfjorden in around 10 minutes by car.
For more hiking opportunities, Himmelsyna is approximately a 20-minute drive away.
Hiking, Fishing & Wildlife
The largely untouched surroundings are home to a rich variety of wildlife. With a little luck, you may spot different bird species, hear roe deer nearby or discover hare tracks. Around one kilometre from the cabin is an area known for black grouse courtship displays.
There are also opportunities for fishing nearby. Uldalsvassdraget offers trout fishing, although a fishing licence is required.

Things to Do Nearby
Despite its secluded setting, the cabin is within easy reach of several popular destinations in Southern Norway. Evje is around 40 minutes away by car and offers attractions including Mineralparken, outdoor activities, rafting and a climbing park.
The charming coastal town of Arendal can be reached in around 55 minutes, while Kristiansand and the popular Dyreparken zoo and amusement park are approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes away.
Around 45 minutes from the cabin, you'll also find Viltgården, where visitors can get a close-up look at moose.
