Stay Right by the Hardangerfjord

Kinsarvik Camping is located directly by the water in the centre of Kinsarvik, with views of the Hardangerfjord and surrounding mountains. Its central location makes it an ideal base for exploring Hardanger’s fjords, waterfalls, orchards and some of the region’s best-known natural attractions.

There are 24 cabins, five new apartments, four new rooms and 82 camping pitches to choose from. This makes Kinsarvik Camping a great option for both traditional camping holidays and travellers looking for a little more comfort.

Experience the Hardangerfjord from the Water

If you’d like to experience the Hardangerfjord from more than just the shore, you can rent a boat directly at the campsite and explore the surrounding area from the water. The 17-foot boats with 25 hp engines can be rented for either half a day or a full day.

Whether you’re heading out for a short trip on the fjord or a spot of fishing, it’s a wonderful way to add your own little adventure on the water to your stay in Kinsarvik.

Cabins with Fjord Views & Modern Apartments

If you prefer a roof over your head, you can choose from a range of cabins, rooms and apartments. The cabins range from simpler accommodation to more spacious options right by the fjord, with several offering beautiful views of the water and surrounding mountains.

A particular highlight are the new Gryting Apartments. Modern Scandinavian design, warm wood tones and large windows create a bright and peaceful atmosphere, bringing the surrounding landscape almost directly into the living space.

Camping Right by the Fjord

For travellers with a motorhome, caravan or tent, Kinsarvik Camping also offers pitches close to the Hardangerfjord. Wake up with mountains and the fjord practically right outside your door.

Especially on a road trip through Western Norway, Kinsarvik is a lovely place to slow down for a few days rather than packing up and moving on every morning, giving you time to explore Hardanger from one convenient base.

Kinsarvik Camping is particularly well suited to families looking to combine nature with a relaxed and easy-going holiday. There is a playground and plenty of green space for children to play and families to unwind, with the fjord and surrounding nature just outside.

With several different accommodation options available, families can choose whether they prefer traditional camping, a cosy cabin or one of the modern apartments.

A particular highlight for families is just around 500 metres away: Mikkelparken Family Park is within easy walking distance and is one of the most popular family attractions in Kinsarvik.

Kinsarvik – An Ideal Base for Exploring Hardanger

Kinsarvik is wonderfully central for spending several days in Hardanger. From here, you can explore fjords, waterfalls, mountain landscapes and the orchards the region is famous for – without having to change accommodation every day.

Particularly rewarding trips nearby include Husedalen Valley with its impressive waterfalls and the famous Queen’s Trail (Dronningstien) – two of the most beautiful hiking experiences around Kinsarvik.

It also makes an excellent stop on a longer road trip through Western Norway, for example when travelling between Bergen, the Hardangerfjord, Eidfjord, Voss and Flåm.
