As the leaves turn vibrant shades of red, orange and yellow, the fjords and mountains reveal a quieter and often even more spectacular side.

Many travellers immediately think of summer when planning a trip to Norway. But between September and early November, Western Norway develops a very special kind of magic.

  • a quieter atmosphere at campsites and holiday homes

For many visitors, this is one of the biggest advantages of travelling to Western Norway in autumn.

Whether you’re travelling by rental car or campervan, the roads are considerably quieter than during the height of summer – while the landscape may just be at its most beautiful.

Autumn Weather in Western Norway
